In this elective, students are encouraged to work more independently as they explore, develop, and refine their own creative ideas. Using a range of two-dimensional media—such as acrylic and watercolour paint, pencil, charcoal, and ink—students will experiment with techniques to create artworks that reflect their personal style and artistic intent. They will investigate the work of selected artists to understand how meaning is communicated through art, and engage in discussions around themes, concepts, and creative responses.
