I did not know before we met, how bright the world would seem. To lose your love, would leave me blind, in dark and somber dreams. I did not know before we met how much my hands could do. To lose your love would still these hands, that need to worship you. What good is life without your love, without the sight of you? What good is life without such love, without the touch of you? And yet I should not tell you this, for it becomes a claim, A claim that deadens joy for both, a cage, a trap, a chain. To have your love for pity’s sake is not the love I need. To have your love as love should be of claims you must be free. What good is love without the light of freedom sweet and dear? What good is love without the sound of singing in the air? So I will tell you find sweet joy in everything you do, And I will tell you find new loves and bring them near to you. And I will never fear the loss of that which can’t be owned. Just try to make it sweeter here than being on your own. I cherish life to have your love, to know the sight of you. I cling to life to have such love, to know the touch of you.
