Just a Taste

Just a taste, a little taste. Then I’ll really go. I’d not take what is not mine. You must know that’s so. I’m so tempted by the smell. A taste is all I ask, Just enough to still the pangs. That taste is sure to last. I’m so hungry all the time. Candy’s near at hand, But the rules are very clear. Looks are all they’ll stand. Tear the wrapper and you pay. It is very cruel. I will sneak a piece to eat — hope they will be fooled. That was good, that little taste. May I have something more? A bigger piece. There is so much, such sweetness to explore. I will pay for what is costs. It is so hard to stop. And while you’re up, I need a drink. Could you spare a drop? Just a touch, a little kiss. Then I’ll really go. I’d not take what is not mine. You must know that’s so. I’m so hungry for your touch. A kiss is all I ask, Just enough to still my heart. That kiss is sure to last.
