First Blog Post

For your first blog post, you are going to do some reflecting on what you thought about history and history class before you started ninth grade (which you did on the first day of school) and what you think now (which you will have to create). There is a video below to guide you through the process.

HINT HINT HINT: Consider typing all your blog posts in the same Google document. It will help you save them as you type and give you an easy way to proofread them. See me if you'd like to talk about how to do this. This is how I write my blog posts - it works well!

In this post, do the following:

    1. Copy your old answers to the questions what is history, what has your experience in history class been, and what happens in a history class from the white half sheet you did on the first day of school. You should have received that back from LS today. Label this section "First Day of School."
    2. Reanswer the three questions from number 1 above, but based on how you feel and what you know now. This answer can talk about aspects of your answers that are the same as well as aspects that are different. This section must be 150 word long. Minimum. Title this section "My thoughts on (the date)" (9/18/12, for example).
    3. Proofread your post.
    4. Add images if you want to - make sure any images are from Creative Commons and are cited properly!
    5. Publish your first blog post.
    6. Give me the link to your blog post (your blog post, not your blog in general) in the Google form found here.
    7. Take a deep breath - your first blog post is done!
