World War II Project

So y'all asked for more context to start off your unit before you started to explore. Hopefully what we did in class on Tuesday and these resources helped. So what is your WWII project going to look like? And when are you going to work on it? The second question is easy to answer: check out the unit calendar.

So. Your project. Again, the goal is choice. What are you interested in learning more about? It needs to reside within World War II. Outside of that, knock yourself out. Hopefully the work you did to build schema will help you get an area (general big picture WWII or a specific part of WWII) that you're interested in.

Or maybe you're intrigued by the unit question. Need some events from WWII that some view as evil? Want to figure out where they fall on the nature/nurture scale? You might want to research some of the following:

  • The Holocaust
  • Rape on Nanking
  • Firebombing of Dresden
  • Blitz on London

What is the product? What are you producing? How are you going to show me what you learned? Great question. I'm outlawing Google presentations. YOU MAY NOT create a Google presentation. We're moving beyond that. Need a couple of ideas for what you could do to demonstrate your learning in WWII? Check out the following. Neither are required - just wanted to let you know they are out there.

  • Podcast your knowledge on Audioboo
  • Annotate a series of pictures using Thinglink
  • Create a mural using mural.ly
  • Want to make a timeline? Claire says Timetoast is legit.
  • Find a group of people interested in a similar area and create a Google site showing your knowledge

Project Requirements

  • Something created that demonstrates your knowledge gained on the World War II unit
    • NOT a Google presentation
  • A works cited page
