Visual aid information

  • Possible programs to use to create your visual aid: Google presos, Prezi, or Haiku Deck
  • What to include in your visual aid
    • Your essential question (in words)
    • Your thesis statement (in words)
    • Information about your books or units that will either:
      • Assist you
      • Add value for your audience
        • Minimize words: we shouldn't see complete sentences
    • Creative Commons-friendly images with citations
      • Citation format: "Image title" by image author from website

Oral presentation information

  • All students will cover four units - two from English and two from history
  • See the rubric (linked above for more specific information
  • Timing rule of thumb: you don't have to memorize your slides. If you can give your presentation three times in a row for about the same amount of time (within ten seconds or so), you've practiced enough.
