A classic steep fell race of South Wales, taking in the summits of Cribyn and Pen Y Fan. Taking in the steep northern ridges of the brecon fans, It offers a rare 'proper mountain' experience in the hills of South Wales.

It's a no frills Race HQ, no toilets, no cover out the rain, very little parking, £3 to the national trust (cash or app), and right on the edge of the open fell. The car park at Cwm Gwdi is SMALL - Buying a place for the race does not guarantee you a parking spot in the public car park. You are STRONGLY advised to come early and liftshare to reduce numbers. There is no room for parking in the nearby narrow lanes. ~

If you want to guarantee yourself a parking spot, bring a bike, park at Cwm Llwch, nip over on a 10min bike ride, and sail past the stressed out car parkers at Cwm Gwdi. If everyone turns up solo in their cars half an hour before the race, a lot of people will miss the race.

There is no set or marked route, but runners must register their race number with each of the following checkpoints:

Checkpoint 3   Pen-Y-Fan Summit - SO 0120 2158

The race fee £6 with a donation to Mountain Rescue after cost of running event.
The race is by turns very steep, off path over rough and stony ground, and traverses along the cliff tops. It is very exposed to the weather.
Bring full kit, there will be random kit checks of runners. If you forget something, ask and we'll try to help you borrow what you need.
