Townslands

In former times Tullahought was a seperate parish from Kells that included the following Townslands

Ballynalinagh, Baunfree, Baunreagh, Birchwood, Bregaun, Corragaun (Morris), Corragaun (Reade), Curraghnadimpaun, Cussan, Garranhalloo, Glencommaun, Gortnaglogh, Inchanaglogh, Kilmacoliver.

Knickeen, Knockglass, Knockroe, Lamoge, Meallaghmore, Pollrone, Tullahought,

Since 1826 Tullahought is part of Windgap Parish that includes the civil parishes of Killlamery and Tullahought and part of the civil parish of Kilmoganny and the townland of Booliafluigh from the civil parish of Cooliaghmore and covers an area of 12,918 statute acres

In 2012 a survey was carried out to collect the old Irish field names in the townslands of Tullahought and Knickeen. A further survey is ongoing on the townslands of Pollrone and Kilmacoliver, these four townslands converge in the village of Tullahought.
