The Coshel Knockroe

Of International significance the Coshel contains two chambers allinged to both the rising and setting sun on the soltice on December 21st the shortest day of the year.

Under the protection of the board of works the site was excavated by Dr. Muiris O'Sullivan following promptings from local resident Johnny Meagher.

The chamber where the dying embers of the setting sun enter and follow the backstone to the floor on the shortest day.
