In the beginning it was Adam and Eve not believing God that in the day that they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that they would surely die spirituall but instead believing Satan who said in the day that you eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil you won't surely die that caused them to fall and them to die spiritually. Jesus made a way where if you believe in him you will have everlasting life. I agree with universalism on some things. I still believe you have to believe. To be spiritually alive you have to have a relationship with only one who gives spiritual life from a spiritually dead state and that is Christ. He is the way the truth and the life. I thought about universalism especially the verse about God reconciling the world to himself. When I looked this scripture up in the greek it said believers. He reconciled believers. It is true that without the law there is no sin. It is also true that sin is the transgression of the Mosaic law according to Scripture. We are not under the Mosaic law if we break a law it is not counted against us. I believe I don't need a law to tell me it's a bad idea to commit adultery or murder. If we have a relationship with Jesus Christ we should not desire to fulfill the lust of the flesh. If I am having a weak moment I just ask for his nature to come out in me.
