The prophecies of Revelation occurred in the first century, I believe that the 144,000 is a symbolic number representing the Jews who escaped Jerusalem before its fall in 70 A.D. Futurists believe that both the 144,000 and the twelve tribes are literal. When Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 A.D., all genealogical records regarding the composition of the twelve tribes were also destroyed. Today, there is no delineation between the twelve tribes and over the past 19 centuries, intermarriage between the tribes has destroyed any separation that would be expected when naming the tribes by name. In fact, Paul made it clear that lineage was no longer important regarding the tribes of Israel. (Galatians 3:28-29; Romans 10:12) Paul also states that the olive branches of the Jews were broken off and the Gentiles have been grafted in. (Romans 11:13-24) The harvest from the olive tree comes from the branches, not from the roots. John describes the 144,000 as firstfruits, which, according to Paul, includes both Jew and Gentile believers. (Revelation 14:4)
They talk about the 144,000 this number is highly symbolic. It’s the 12 tribes of Israel squared and multiply by 1000 the number of completeness. The 144,000. This is highly symbolic. 12- the number of the tribes of Israel- is squared and multiplied by 1000. A number of completeness.
The 12 tribes are descendants from Abraham and Sarah they were from UR a Gentile city. Abraham and Sarah were Gentiles. A Gentile is a nonbeliever. Abraham was promised a great Gentile nation. Everyone descended from Adam and Eve. It's not about race. In the book of acts- it says all nations comes from one blood. A Israelite was just a descendent of Abraham a Gentile or nonbeliever who had been given a faith in the one true God and a special covenant. Even in the Old Testament any race could become part of Israel a proselyte. Dispensation teachings are racist and make the Israelites seem like a special race. God didn't change Abraham's DNA. What made Abraham and his descendants special was they believed in the true God and had a covenant with him but they rejected their Messiah and his new covenant. He then turned to the Gentile nonbelieving nations who gladly received his new covenant. All nations come from one blood Acts 17:26.
