Adam Maarschalk wrote- (Seven New Testament Indications that Life in Christ Was to Continue on This Earth beyond AD 70)
This is not an exhaustive list. By Adam Maarschalk
#1. Jesus said that AFTER He would come in judgment and destroy the wicked rulers of Israel, His vineyard would be leased to other vinedressers who would bear its fruit “in their seasons”:
“’Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?’ They said to Him, ‘He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits IN THEIR SEASONS.’ … ‘Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it’” (Matthew 21:40-43).
#2. The author of Hebrews said that his readers/contemporaries had “tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come” (Hebrews 6:5). He indicated that this same word and those same powers would characterize the age to come, an age that was still future to his audience.
#3. Paul said that his constant prayer for the saints was that they would know the hope of God’s calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance, and the power which was worked in Christ when He was raised from the dead - not only in the age in which he lived but also in the age to come:
“…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, NOT ONLY IN THIS AGE BUT ALSO IN THAT WHICH IS TO COME” (Ephesians 1:17-21).
He also said that the first century saints had been raised up to sit in heavenly places in Christ so "THAT IN THE AGES TO COME He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 2:6-7).
#4. John saw New Jerusalem descending down from God out of heaven (Revelation 3:12; 21:2, 10). The arrival of a new heaven and a new earth and New Jerusalem coincided with the passing away of the first heaven and the first earth (Rev. 21:1-2). This timing is also clear in II Peter. Writing around AD 60-63, Peter said that the old heavens and earth "NOW EXIST" (II Peter 3:7). He spoke of the passing away and burning up of the old heavens and earth as a yet future event (verse 10). Peter said that they were "LOOKING FOR AND HASTENING the coming of the day of the Lord" when the old heavens and the elements would burn up (verse 12), they were looking for the new heavens and new earth in which righteousness dwells (verse 13), and they were "LOOKING FORWARD TO THESE THINGS" (verse 14).
From Galatians 4:21-31 and Hebrews 12:18-29 it's also very clear that New Jerusalem took the place of old (earthly) Jerusalem. Therefore, according to Galatians 4, Hebrews 12, II Peter 3, and Revelation 21, the timing for New Jerusalem to come down out of heaven was AD 70.
IF IT'S ESTABLISHED THAT NEW JERUSALEM CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN IN AD 70, THEN REVELATION 21:1 - 22:5 DESCRIBES POST-AD 70 REALITIES ON EARTH. Post-AD 70 all things have been made new (Rev. 21:4-5). The water of life is given freely to those who thirst (Rev. 21:6). God dwells with His people in a heavenly city that is filled with His glory (verses 3, 11). Nations walk in the light of this city (verse 24). The trees of this city constantly bear fruit and their leaves are for the healing of the nations (Rev. 22:2) - to this day. And God's people reign forever (Rev. 22:5).
#5. Paul said that when the old covenant passed away, the new covenant would remain and would be glorious:
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious” (II Corinthians 3:5-11).
#6. In Romans 11:26-27, Paul quoted from a passage in Isaiah 59 in which it was prophesied that the new covenant would be for multiple generations forever. The portion that Paul quoted goes on to say, “‘This is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of YOUR DESCENDANTS’ DESCENDANTS,’ says the Lord, ‘from this time AND FOREVERMORE’” (Isaiah 59:21). If Romans 11 fulfilled Isaiah 59, then Israel’s salvation was not game over for the Christian faith on this planet. Israel’s salvation and new covenant was to impact future generations forever.
#7. Jesus said that AFTER the city of Jerusalem would be burned, His servants would travel the highways to invite even more to His wedding besides those who were invited before the city was burned.
“The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come… And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, AND BURNED UP THEIR CITY. THEN he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding” (Matthew 22:2-9). We know the wedding took place in 70 A.D. Rev. 19:17-18 The birds were invited to the supper to dine on dead bodies. AFTER JERUSALEM BURNED others were invited to the wedding.
32 Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;
33 Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.
If they try to tell you a foreigner is not who we know to be foreigners Tom Mills article a little further down explains who a foreigner is in the bible. You can use that with it.
Here's some I like.
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
John 1:11-1211He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the rightto become children of God— 13children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God.… If you use the Scriptures and they tried to turn it around and say they don't believe it's about race. Ask a simple question. Do you believe that all people were able to be saved prior to 70 A.D.If they avoid answering. Just keep asking the same question. They are trained in deception.
I had typed up most of the Scriptures in the first video called 40 PROOFS by Tom Mills so that I can just grab a Scripture proving Israel only wrong when needed. Here it is- Acts 17 says- that ALL nations are of one blood.
Ask IO - Could only Israel be saved? If yes ask yourself was Abraham,Noah, & Abel saved? They weren't Israelite's. Jacob had his name changed to Israel.Jacob's descendants were Israelite's., yet Abraham,Noah, and Abel they were saved. This question was by Luther Williams. The rest is Tom Mills
Isaiah 56😊
Isaiah 56 6-7
A foreigner is NOT a lost Israelite like IO claim
Foreigner = Nekar
Genesis 17:12 Foreigner word Nekar is Not referring to Israelites. Nekar is used 35 times in the O.T. and not once referrers to Israelites. It usually refers to a foreigner Gods.
Exodus 12:43 Nekar here is slaves purchased with money.
Numbers 15:29
Nations
Leviticus 20:23-24 Here Israelites are in the wilderness. They are not dispersed here. Foreigner here is talking about wicked nations.
In the Septuagint which is the Greek scriptures Nations is Ethnos.
Esther 8:17 Jew is not a race here but referrers to Judaism. This is after the dispersion. People were becoming Jews by faith in God. Now we have people being considered Jews who are not blood descendants of Judah.
Isaiah 14:1 Here we have a contrast between Jacob Israel and strangers. Here Jacob his blood descendants join strangers. Isaiah prophesied the saving of the non-Israelites.
Isaiah 25:6-8 ALL PEOPLE -
Isaiah 19:23-25 shows the gospel would go to all nations. He even calls Egypt his people.
Deut 23 Here some nations were excluded from the assembly. Not ALL nations were excluded. In the Septuagint assembly church. This shows if you were not a Moabite or Amorite you could be saved. Read-
Deut. 23:7 6You are not to seek peace or prosperity from them as long as you live. 7Do notdespise an Edomite, for he is your brother.Do not despise an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land. 8The third generation of children born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD.Edomites descendants of Esau and Egyptians are allowed in the assembly or church in the Septuagint.
I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me- Philistia too and Tyre along with Cush and will say, This one was born in Zion. Psalms 87:4 – Here we have a lot of non-Israelites being called Zion. Joshua 6:25 And Joshua saved Rahab the Harlot alive, and her father's Houshold and all that she has, and she dwelleth in Israel unto this day. Rahab a non-Israelite and her non- Israelite family were saved.
2 kings 5:17-19 Here Elisha allows a non-Israelite Syrian to worship God.
Matt.20:18-19 Here Jesus was handed over to the Gentiles nations non- Israelite's Romans. Greek word Ethnos.
IO says, The Gentiles - nations ethnos are dispersed Israelites but the Romans were not dispersed Israelites.
Acts 21:10-11 Word gentile here is Ethnos. Paul was NOT handed over to dispersed Israelites but the Romans.
Acts 26:16-18 Gentiles Ethnos. Paul was given to the romans not the dispersed Israelites. Then God promised those who he rescued them from an inheritance salvation with him.
Matt 5:10 Jesus tells them not to go to the Samaritans but they were dispersed Israelites
IO Teaches the Samaritans are Israelites.
John 7:35 It doesn’t teach the Greeks were part of the dispersion. It teaches the dispersion was AMONG the Greeks.
Acts 9:13-15 Here we have 3 categories 1.Gentiles ethos nations 2. kings 3. Sons of Israel. How many dispersed Israelite kings were there?
Galatians 2:15-16 Paul says, they are jews by nature not birth.
Romans 2:28-29 Here we see a jew is a jew by faith. Abraham was just a gentile who was called from the Heathen nations to serve the lord. He didn’t make him a special race but a special faith.
Colossians 3:11-12 Sycthians are Iranians – descendants of Ishmael NOT from Jacob. Also, Barbarians are NOT dispersed Israelites. Sycthians and barbarians are called Gods CHOOSEN people.
Romans 3:29-30
Romans 10:11-13 Whoever calls on God will be saved.
Cor.9:19-23 All people NOT just Jews.
Romans 1:9-10 Greeks and non-Greeks.
Acts 13:16-17 Two Categories 1. Men of Israel 2. All who fear God.
Titus 2:11 Greek word for men – Anthropos meaning all mankind
1 Tim. 2:1-3 Timothy was told to pray for All men and Kings this would be including Ceasar who was in authority.
Galatians 3:8-9 All greek ethnos nations will blessed.
Gal. 3:16 The promises were through Christ.
Gal.3:25-29 Categories 1.male opposite 2. female 3. slave opposite 4. free 5. Jew opposite 6. Gentile non-Israelite.
Titus 1:6 first Jew then gentile Greek is what gentile means here.
Acts 13: 26 1. Abraham’s sons 2. Those who believe can be saved.
Acts 26:16-17
Acts 26:19-21 These people are not Jews not dispersed Israelites.
Pauls famous sermon to the Athenians on mars hill. They were more likely not dispersed Israelites certainly not all of them even if some were. The Areopagus were non-Israelites.
Romans 11:1 Paul lets the people know the Israelites can be saved. He had been preaching the gospel in Romans to non-Israelites. Otherwise he wouldn’t need to let them know that Israelites could also be saved.
Romans 11:28 He contrasted -they Israelites with your - which was his audience of non-Israelites in this verse.
1 Cor. 12:2 Pagans in this scripture is referring to nations Greek word ethnos. They were going after idols. Heathens were gentile's ethnos. Abraham was a gentile or from heathen nations before God spoke to him and gave him a special belief. He didn’t change his race.
IO believes the gospel is not open to Pagans only to Israelites.
1 Corinthians 12:27 They use to be pagans now they are a part of Christs body.
Romans 2:14 Here the gentile's ethnos nations don’t have the law. IO claim the Samaritans are the dispersed Israelites he’s talking about. However, Samaritans did have the law.
Matthew 8:10-12 10 When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This is talking about the Santerían man. Definitely not an Israelite or Jesus wouldn’t have “Marveled” over his faith. When it talks about people coming from the east and the west, these are non-Israelites that are joining Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Otherwise they would already be seated at the table.
Acts 25:23-25 With King Agrippa coming in the stage to see Paul with him in attendance was Agrippas sister Bernice, Military commanders and prominent men of the city. Also in the room was Porcius Festus and a group of gentlemen. In verse 26:27-29 Paul talks to Agrippa himself and says “27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.”
Paul asks King Agrippa to be a Christian. He was related to Harold the Great and his father was Antipater who was related to Esau. Absolutely no Israelite blood. The requirements for salvation for the people in that room were all who heard Paul’s voice. We have governors, kings and prominent men of the city. It wasn’t an auditorium of dispersed Israelites.
Acts 6:1 We have an argument going on against Hellinist Jews. Hellinist means Greek Jews. The Greek Jews and Hebrews were arguing because the Greek Jews said their widows were being overlooked in the distribution of food. No doubt these were Greek Israelites of the dispersion. They thought they were being discriminated against by the “Jewish Jews” It’s important to note that both of these groups of people are Jews.
Acts 6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:”
Proselyte means (One from afar) these were converts to Judaism. They were not native born, they were converts.
Acts 2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.” How can a Jew be from every nation under heaven? Here we have a list of nations he was referring to Acts 2:8-11 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.”
They were born into these languages. They were born in other countries. These are the dispersion. People forget what the day of Pentecost actually was the feast of weeks meaning 50 in the Greek. In lev they talk about the 50 year celebration and how it would be a jubilee. People were coming to Israel to celebrate the feast of weeks were they were going to be set free.
