This shakes up the Revelation theories about kings. Was it speaking about Caesar's, a future set of kings or was it referring to Israelite kings?
First of all Caesar's or were never called kings or princes. Who were both kings & priests in the bible using Genesis and Daniel nine .
1. Adam was a son of God
It often comes as a surprise to people to hear Adam described as a son of God. However, that is the message of the Scriptures.
In the first chapter of Genesis, God says “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”. We’re used to hearing this phrase, but what do “image” and “likeness” actually mean? Well, we see these words used again a little later in the Genesis account, where we read about the birth of Seth, Adam’s third child:
…[Adam] became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.
– Genesis 5:3
It is clear from this verse that “image” and “likeness” refer to sonship. Seth was the son of Adam since he bore his image and likeness, and likewise, since he bore God’s image and likeness, Adam was a son of God. .
2. Adam is a bridegroom
The next role of Adam is that of bridegroom. Upon seeing Eve, the crown of creation, Adam couldn’t help but burst into ecstatic poetry:
Lord God…brought [the woman] to the man. Then the man said,
“This at last is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called Woman,
because she was taken out of Man.”
– Genesis 2:22-23
4. Adam is a prophet
When most people think of the term “prophet”, they think of someone who predicts the future. However, this isn’t the essential function of a prophet. A prophet is one who speaks on behalf of God, one who is His mouthpiece. If that’s the case, what then does Adam do in Genesis which qualifies him as a prophet? It turns out it’s the naming of the animals:
So out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.
– Genesis 2:19
It is the prerogative of the creator to name the creation, the artist to name the painting, the designer to designate the moniker for his design. However, it was not Adam who created the animals, but God. However, the Lord grants Adam the privilege of naming them, to speak on God’s behalf, granting to him the grace of prophethood.
5. Adam is a king
So far we have said that Adam was a son of God, a bridegroom, a priest and even a prophet. However, I’d also assert that Adam was a King! What gives him his royal status? Well, a king is one who rules a land:
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”
– Genesis 1:26
We see from this extract that Adam is given “dominion”, rulership over the land and the creatures, thus making him a king.

Davidic kingship, then, is (1) rooted in YHWH’s kingship and (2) an inheritance of Adam’s roles as son of God. In reality, all three offices of anointing (prophets, priests, and kings) possess an Adamic role, and are oriented by the mountain of God. Indeed, as to the Adamic role, it is possible to comprehend the progress of redemptive history according to what we may call ‘God’s three sons’:
Adam was the first firstborn, who functioned as prophet, priest, and king.
Secondly, God created a corporate firstborn son, Israel. (Due to humanity’s estate of sin and misery there was a separation of powers, as it were, with the distribution of the offices of prophet, priest and king among the members of Israel distinctly.)
Finally, as the last Adam and true Israel, the Son of God dawned, as prophet, priest and king, now conforming humanity to himself as the image and likeness of God.
As to the offices being oriented by the mountain of God, the high priest’s office is focused upon and validated by his annual entrance into the summit of the architectural mountain of God, the holy of holies, on the Day of Atonement (Lev. 16). Similarly, kings were enthroned upon God’s holy mountain, and prophets were sent from it. The king, at his coronation, was installed upon God’s holy mountain, reigning from the earthly Zion as a reflection of YHWH’s reign from the heavenly Zion (Ps. 2). And to become a servant of YHWH, a prophet had first to encounter him at the mountain of God and then be sent forth from it as a messenger (Isa. 6; Exod. 3:1-10). Since all three offices are cultic, functioning distinctly for the same divine goal, one may see how kingship in ancient Israel accorded to the Pentateuch’s major theme: the Davidic king reigned to shepherd humanity to the house of God upon the mountain of God. Israel was God's firstborn according to Exodus 4:22 . Jacob was descended from Adam who was both a king, priest and son of God . Jacob's name was changed to Israel. It was God's plan from the beginning for Israel to be his kings and priests just as Adam was before the fall. In the New Testament we find God's people being called kings and priests and sons of God joint heirs with Jesus Christ 8:17. Jesus was both a king and a priest after the order of melchizedek.
Nero, Titus and the rest of the emperors were Caesar's not kings or princes. A king in the Bible prophecy was usually speaking of the priesthood. Jesus is our king and high priest. In Daniel 9 the Prince was Jesus.I can prove that Daniel 9's Prince was not anti Christ or Titus, but Jesus Christ and that it was Jesus that was cut off in the mist of Daniels 70th week. I can also prove that cut off means killed. Read the entire chapter 35 of Isaiah which is talking about Jesus, especially verse 7 and 8 which I will put here and focus on the highlighted part- " He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he (Jesus) was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken."
Now you can see that it was Jesus the Prince that was cut off (killed) in the mist of Daniels 70th week. Melchizedek, also spelled Melchisedech, in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament), a figure of importance in biblical tradition because he was both king and priest, was connected with Jerusalem, and was revered by Abraham, who paid a tithe to him. Review Adam Maarschalk list of kings of Rev. 13:3
1Revelation 13:3 and the deadly wound of one of the beast’s heads. That post included an extensive overview of the Zealot movement and 12 key leaders of that movement, and I proposed that the seven heads belonged to the family dynasty of Hezekiah the Zealot.
“There are also seven kings. Five have fallen… 1. Hezekiah (47 BC)
2. Judas of Galilee (led rebellion from AD 6-8)
3. Jacob (son of Judas; crucified around AD 47)
4. Simon (son of Judas; crucified around AD 47)
5. Jair (son of Judas; father of Eleazar)
…one is… 6. Eleazar ben Jair (rebel leader from AD 66-73)
…and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time” (Rev. 17:10). 7. Menahem (rebel leader for only a month in AD 66)
understand the beast’s identity:
1. The fifth bowl was poured out on the beast (Revelation 16:10-11).
2. The beast was given to the burning flame (Daniel 7:11; Revelation 19:20).
3. Who was killed by the sword AND went into captivity (Revelation 13:10)?
4. Who destroyed and burned the harlot (Revelation 17:16)?
5. How did the two beasts relate to “those who dwell on the earth” (Revelation 13:3-15)?
