3S-GE Twin Cam Engine Rebuild & Swap
I rebuilt the JDM 2.0L 3S-GE Twin Cam with T-VIS engine from the 1986 Celica GT-S (available first on the JDM 1984-1986 Camry / Vista Twin Cam). Compression tested, block inspected and cleaned. Head inspected and cleaned. Installed all genuine Toyota parts, performed hand valve lapping, adjusted valves, installed new oil seals, shaft seals, oil pump seals. Inspected and replaced timing gears, camshafts. Fabricated complete LHD engine wiring harness to interface with existing 1985 Camry chassis wiring harness. Removed original 2S-E SOHC engine and installed 3S-GE into my 1985 Camry.
