Eric's Classic Toyotas

WELCOME!

My name is Eric and I'm crazy about classic Toyotas and other Japanese cars! I currently work in Japan as an EV-Specialist Automotive Technical Trainer & Training Developer.

I'm an ASE Certified Automobile Technician and an MECP Certified Electronics Installer with an AS Degree in Electronics and BS in Business Administration: Systems & Operations Management.

In California, I've been maintaining, restoring, and customizing my collection of 1st-Generation FF Camrys since 2001.

While living in Japan, I'm also focusing on the GX71 Toyota Mark II / Cresta / Chaser models.

I have experience with creating a custom turbocharging setup as well as engine and transmission swaps including engine wire harness fabrication, and factory-spec engine rebuilds on both gasoline and diesel engines. I've also created custom electronic circuits such as K.I.T.T.'s scanner lights and voice display from Knight Rider for use on my Camry!

I've won awards for "Best Camry" at the 2005 Toyota Owner's and Restorer's Club (T.O.R.C.), "Best Toyota -Other-" at the 2008 Japanese Classic Car Show (J.C.C.S.), and "Outstanding Performance Award" for the Old Car Class at Auto Life Festa 2017 in Fuji Speedway. My Camrys have been featured in the Japanese classic car magazine "Kousoku Yuen Deluxe" in Volumes 4 and 13 (8/2008 and 2/2010) 高速有鉛デラックス Vol. 4 2008年 8月号, Vol.13 2010年 2月号.
