SkyDive Houston
Updated Summer 2017
There is a NOTAM that says that parachute jumping is happening near Waller at Skydive Houston on a daily basis. If somebody could call them, get the scoop and share it with the group it would be to our advantage to understand their operation. I'll pass on whatever I learn as well.
SkyDive Houston is located south of Waller and on the 152 degree radial from the Navasota VOR (TNV) and is 18.9 miles away from the TNV VOR.
Un-decoded NOTAM.

From manager/operator:
Operator: Jimmie Mendonca (832) 622-6181
They recently started operations at Skydive Houston, formerly known as Skylakes. The FAA airport identifier is 37XA. Located 4 miles south of Waller.
For the short term, they will operate on weekends and Holidays. They hope to get busy this summer and operate 6-7 days/week.
JUMP PLANE: They have two Cessna 182s but will likely use one at a time.
COMMUNICATIONS: They intend to make multiple calls flip flopping between two frequencies. In other words, they won't be listening to both freqs simultaneously so they could miss your inquiry about their status if they happen to be on the other freq.
CTAF 122.9: They intend to call all on the ground while taking off and a couple calls while climbing and leading up to the jump. This freq will NOT be monitored if the jump plane is not active.
Houston TRACON 123.8: They will be climbing west of the class bravo but they will make multiple calls. First call: after climbing through 2,000. Another call 1-2 minutes before jump. Last call "jumpers away".
