This FIRC is aimed at glider instructors but everybody is encouraged to attend. You do not have to be a member nor a glider pilot. Those interested in obtaining their glider instructor rating will be well served by attending this clinic.
The main goals of a FIRC include:
Reducing the accident rate in soaring
Increasing pilot awareness of soaring safety issues
Disseminating training information and material
The FIRC is presented by the Soaring Safety Foundation, SSF.

Airplane Instructors
SSF FIRC's are open to any Flight Instructor wishing to renew their FI certificate. As of 2008, the SSF clinic can renew any Flight Instructor certificate (glider, airplane, rotorcraft, etc). The SSF clinics are also open to any pilot who is interested in learning more about the art of Soaring.

Attendance Limit: 18 people
Glider Instructors will be given priority but there will be plenty of room for others on a first come first serve basis.
Cost: $150 per person

Lunch is on your own and a list of local restaurants (click here for map) will be available at the course.
Course materials will be provided, but please bring paper and pen if you wish to take additional notes.
You must bring the following:
Instructor certificate
Commercial certificate
Government issued ID with a photo.
