This weekend we did the following:

• We did an exercise of recognizing the vegetable names from a collage and assembling the letters together to form the word. This helped revise सम्युक्ताक्षराणि and पठनम्. Please look at this gdrive folder: Activities, for pictures of the activity.
• We had a dictation of words involving सम्युक्ताक्षराणि and worked on our लेखनम्. See Dictations pg
• We then read a picture comic strip from बालमोदिनी section of संभाषण संदेश magazine and worked on our श्रवणम्
• We also read from सचित्र महाभारत comic book. We learned examples of obedience (YudhishtirA's obedience to his mother Kunti) and also dedication/tenacity (EkalavyA's tenacity to learn archery and surpass Arjuna's precision without a teacher)
• We also learned the meaning of prayer सहना ववतु and how it applies to a learning environment.

• We had a dictation of words involving सम्युक्ताक्षराणि and worked on our लेखनम्. See Dictations pg
• We worked on our विशेषणानि (adjectives) and learned new ones. See list
• We revised meaning of prayer सहना ववतु and learned पूर्णमदः.

This weekend we did the following:

• Revised विशेषणानि (adjectives). See list
• We revised meaning of prayer सहना ववतु
• We learned parts of speech. See section vAkya nirmANam. We learned what comprises of a meaningful sentence (वाक्यम् ).
• We revised क्रियापदानि , सर्वनामपदानि and नामपदानि in एकवचनम् forms.
• We formed sentences from flash cards comprising of सर्वनामपदानि + नामपदानि + क्रियापदानि
• We read one sentence each from सचित्र महाभारतम् which taught us:
  • How Shri Krishna taught Arjuna to concentrate on his work and not be anxious about its result. (कर्मण्ये वाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन )
  • We learned that we learn life's lessons (जीवन दर्शनम् ) from the various stories and extra-ordinary characters and events in महाभारतम्
