We covered the following in class this week:

• We revised वृत्तिकाराः from previous years and learned a few more. Please refer this gdrive folder
• We learned adverbs/क्रिया विशेषणानि
• Introduction to द्वितीया विभक्तिः through learning to answer to कुत्र? See pdf
• We had a dictation of the following सम्युक्ताक्षराणि starting with [क, ख, ग ,घ ,ड़]
  • कुक्कुटः
  • सुख्यातिः
  • आरोग्यम्
  • गङ्गा

We covered the following in class this week:

• The kids read out the words with सम्युक्ताक्षराणि from विष्णु सहस्रनामम् that they had picked.
• We completed learning about all adverbs/क्रिया विशेषणानि and revised the ones in the last class.
• We talked about the difference between विशेषणानि and क्रियाविशेषणानि. विशेषणानि describe नामपदम् while क्रिया विशेषणानि describe क्रियापदम्
• We revised द्वितीया विभक्तिः through learning to answer to कुत्र? See pdf. We also extended and learned how answering to किम्? results in a word in the द्वितीया विभक्तिः form. See pdf. We also learned that this word is a कर्मपदम् /object and that a कर्मपदम् is always depicted in द्वितीया विभक्तिः.
• We then read a paragraph each from a चित्रकथा called वाणिज्यकारस्य चातुर्यम्

We had a combined class this week with सिन्धु kids and covered the following:

• The kids did स्वपरिचयः and shared one sentence about their favorite thing in Sanskrit.

Ex: मम रुचिः क्रीडायाम् अस्ति

मम रुचिः पठने अस्ति

मम रुचिः चित्र रचने अस्ति

• The kids took turns to recite the सुभाषितानि learned so far and also explained its meaning.
• We had a dictation involving पदानि with गुणिताक्षराणि. Please refer to the list at the end of the dictation page.
• SrividhyA bhagini taught all of us a new song. Please see दन्तधावनम् song in the Songs page
• We played a dumb charades quiz where each kid took turns to select विशेषणाम् and क्रियापदम् from a stack of cards. They enacted the विशेषणाम् and क्रियापदम् for there सहपाठिनः to guess and then came up with sentences involving both the guessed words.
