coronavirus affects overweight people most

Google coronavirus BMI to find great articles (click here for one.)  This article says that 78% of coronavirus deaths are people who are overweight or obese and that the food industry is to blame for pushing cheap, processed foods full of fat, sugar and salt.

Moreover, these cheap meals make up the diets of the minorities who are dying in disproportionate numbers.

Another article says that young patients being hospitalized were overwhelmingly overweight or obese (click here.)

Now is a good time to show you the medical definition of overweight or obese (click here).  The example is that if a person is 5'9" tall and weighs over 169 pounds, that person is overweight; anyone 5'9" tall (or shorter) who weighs over 203 pounds is obese.

Another article suggested that the most severe complications are among people who are obese. (click here.)   Here is a second article (click here.)

Another said that hospitalized patients were most likely to be overweight or obese (click here.)  Here is a second such article (click here.)

Another said that being obese increased the death rate from coronavirus (click here.)

So why does our vaunted media refuse to publish such alarming news and fail to strongly advocate a healthy diet and exercise?  Follow the money: who pays for advertising?  An obvious conclusion is that our news and media has sold out to the fast food industry.

Even the CDC is complicit by listing obesity as "one" of the conditions.  Political correctness seems to dictate censorship of any issues relating to how terribly destructive it is to be overweight.   Could it be that the food industry censors our news?

An additional bit of education is that "metabolic syndrome" generally applies to any male with a waist over 40 inches around, and any female with a waist over 35 inches.

Metabolic syndrome (click here) indicates that the person has fat in their liver, and that means that their immune system is impaired, hence the more severe consequences of COVID-19.
