Ronin Ryder Cup Series Of Poker (RRCSOP)
In 2010, a Texas Hold 'em poker event was added to the annual Ronin Ryder Cup festivities. The tournament was held in the original home of the World Series of Poker, Binions Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Pat Smith took on the role of tournament director and made all the arrangements.
Buy-in for the original event was $40 with no re-buys. The closest to the pin winners for the first two days received an extra $1000 in chips.
The tournament was a success with the members and ran for 7 years, the first 6 at Binions, before the cost proved too much to continue.
Dale Kurata became the first champion in the inaugural tournament in 2010.
