Hot Team Kadohata Melts Team Kimura To Win 2012 Ronin Ryder Cup!

Over a hot Las Vegas weekend in a tournament they had to win, Team Kadohata led from start to finish and swept all three days to defeat Team Kimura, 58 to 42.

Players gathered at the tournament kickoff meeting to set the Day 1 lineups for the Better Ball event. As usual, friendships were renewed and rivalries re-established after a year of build-up.
Team Kadohata (Blue) was under the gun this year to win to keep the best of three alive against the Orange (Team Kimura). Orange won in last year's event to take a 1-0 tournament lead.
Day 1 began with an early shotgun start at Concord on the Revere at Anthem Golf Course. Temperatures rose quickly (about 108) as Team Kadohata took the early tournament lead 6-4. As the losing team, Team Kimura picked up the tab for lunch from the South Pointe Casino buffet.
Day 2's Scramble event at Bear's Best was another warm day that ended the same as the previous day. Team Kimura started slow and lost again to Team Kadohata 6-3-1. Lunch was provided this time at Sun Coast Casino buffet. After lunch, many of the players met at the Binions Casino to participate in the 3rd Annual Ronin Ryder Cup Series of Poker.
Next year's event will be the deciding tournament captained by Kevin Leong for the Blue and Rick Hashimoto for the Orange.

The Individual Event on Day 3 at Primm Valley was much closer. With 20 matches to play, Team Kadohata won 11 of the 20 (no draws) to complete the three day sweep.
