Ryder Cup Round Two!

Are You Ready??

It is that time of year. Golf, golf, and a little more golf with some gambling thrown in. Ronin Ryder Cup 2 is here. Orange County is set to defend their trophy against the boys from Los Angeles. The number of players has grown to 12 with three team matches scheduled the first two days and 6 individual matches on closing day. 2 new players on each side will increase the number of points it will take to raise the Cup. Los Angeles needs 6 1/2 points to retain the glory.

The site will again be Las Vegas, Nevada. Desert Pines Golf Course and Stallion Mountain

Country Club will host the Ryder Cup 2. Arrangements have been made for the teams to stay at the Main Street Hotel and Casino. Identical to last year, the competition will begin with the 2 man better ball matches. The site will be the Desert Pines Golf Course. The 2 man scramble will unfold at the Stallion Mountain South course on Day 2. To conclude the exciting marathon of golf, the singles will take place at the West course in Stallion Mountain Country Club. Attached to this newsletter are partial information on these tough courses. Those with Internet access can research the www.swgolf.com website for further information.

The dates are set for the 1998 Ryder Cup. October 9 - 11 have been confirmed as the dates of destiny. We are headed back to the land of splitting fairways and aces, Las Vegas.
