N6NA 145.25 MHz Repeater System Diagram
The River City ARCS N6NA 2 meter repeater system uses several remote receivers located around the Sacramento area that are connected to a "voter" which selects the best signal and sends it to the repeater transmitter at 2000' near Shingle Springs, CA. This facilitates repeater access with weak signals such as from low power handheld radios.
Whenever the remote receivers are offline, the repeater will be in "Hilltop mode", and you may require a stronger signal than usual to access the repeater.
When either our hilltop repeater site or the West Sacramento control hub are offline, the repeater will not be accessible. In that event, our 2 meter net will revert to 145.250 MHz FM simplex operation.
The Zamora Backup Repeater is used monthly for our third Wednesday 2 meter nets and in case of power failure at our main Shingle Springs repeater. The backup repeater has no AllStar/EchoLink access and is not linked to the main repeater.
