Directions as below. Follow the driveway and turn right behind the barn. Do NOT drive across the field.

2018 ARRL Field Day June 23-24, 2018 Dry Creek Ranch, 6852 Dry Creek Rd, Rio Linda, CA 95673 Open to the Public - Drop In Visitors Welcome Field Day is our annual exercise of emergency communications response capabilities. Radio amateurs throughout North America participate in this exercise each June. We encourage the general public to come and experience amateur radio. Anyone with or without an FCC license can Get on the Air on our HF and VHF stations as General and Amateur Extra class control operators will be on site. E-mail contact@n6na.org to join us!

SET UP: On Saturday June 23th, all assisting should check in with our Field Day Captain by 6:45 am for task assignments so that we may begin setting up by 7:00 am. Members should wear their ID badge. If you bring a canopy see our Field Day Captain before you set up. We will have a set up plan based on layout of antennas. Bring the items you have committed. If you bring a laptop computer, our IT specialist Kevin Hooke KK6DCT will configure it for our network with the current N3FJP Field Day logging software. Label all personal equipment with your call sign.

Potluck: The club will provide Hot dogs and Hamburgers as well as various soft drinks and water. I want to remind everyone this is a park and they do not allow alcohol onsite. As before, we ask the following from members to bring for the potluck: Call sign suffixes starting in A-M - Bring a dessert, cookies, brownies, pie, etc. N-Z - Bring a cold salad, potato salad, baked beans or similar. BRING A COOLER for your cold items. We will have a BBQ pit there. If anyone would like to assist in the grilling duties let Dave Martin know. We will be eating around 5:30 pm. Take down: Field Day concludes on Sunday morning at 11:00 am. Those assisting with clean up and taking down the set up should be on site by 11:00 am.

Our Field Day site is on the grounds immediately next to the Dry Creek Ranch House. Directions: Go 0.6 miles north of the intersection of Elkhorn Blvd and Dry Creek Road. Enter the 2018 Field Day Site through the main entrance on the east side of Dry Creek Road. Proceed on the driveway past the Ranch House and turn right behind the barn to the parking area. To avoid damage to the irrigation system, DO NOT DRIVE DIRECTLY ACROSS THE FIELD TO THE FIELD DAY SITE. Talk-in on our N6NA 145.25 MHz repeater.

Chuck Freas W6FT (SK) prepared kits of parts complete with capacitors, coil forms, connectors, wire, enclosure and hardware for our N1NC "Ugly Filter" building project. Dave Martin WB6YLK, Ken Martin KE6RMN, Chris Huber N6ICW, and Carol Milazzo KP4MD built the filters.
