Knockout: Similar to the Paralysis trait, this energy weapon does not inflict damage, but renders the victim unconscious if the target fails in an opposed roll of their Willpower against the attack roll.
Cauterising: The bolt or beam immediately seals off any ruptured blood vessels, preventing targets from bleeding out in the event of a Major Wound.
* The Zat'nik'tel is unique in its operation compared to other weapons. One shot will incapacitate a victim and cause immense pain. A second shot will kill them (via brain overload).
Ma'Tok staff – More commonly known as the "Staff Weapon", the standard weapon used by the Goa'uld army and their Jaffa, consisting of a metal quarterstaff with an almond-shaped head that splits open to fire a powerful energy blast. There is a counterbalancing club on the back end, allowing the weapon to be used in melee combat at close ranges. It is powered by liquid naqahdah. In skilled hands it can be quite effective, but it is less accurate and slower to fire than Earth-made firearms; Jack O'Neill describes it as a "weapon of terror" rather than of war.
Zat'nik'tel (Zat) – A zat'nik'tel (pronounced "ZAT-nik-a-tel", usually shortened to "zat") is commonly used sidearm shaped like a small snake curved into an "S" shape, that springs forward when activated. One shot from the zat stuns (though its effectiveness varies with different people), a second shot kills.
