Ross Dickinson

Ross Dickinson was born in 1960 and started out in radio whilst studying medicine at Leicester University. He realised the hospital radio studio was more appealing than the wards, so when he returned to West Yorkshire in 1982, he joined  Radio Aire to present the Early Breakfast Show.

He left the station in 1985 and joined Pennine Radio. Whilst he was there, he featured in the 1987 film, 'Rita, Sue and Bob Too' (speaking on the radio).

In 1987, he returned to Radio Aire  presenting the Breakfast Show, in place of James Whale who had moved back to the Late Show. In 1988, Ross moved  to Drivetime, swapping shows with Peter Tait, where he remained until the station split in 1990.

He then took over Mid-Mornings on Aire FM, but was back on Drive by 1991 until he left the station the following year.
