Jon Hammond

Jon Hammond was born in South Wales on 27th August 1958. He was first heard on Radio Aire in 1985, presenting Overnights and Saturday Breakfast. He started presenting weekday Mid-Mornings in 1987, after Peter Levy left the station to join BBC Radio Leeds.

He then moved onto Afternoons in 1988, where he remained until he left the station in 1989. Jon was also a regular at the Radio Aire Roadshows.

Jon has since been heard on BBC local radio stations including Radio Leeds and has also worked as a television presenter. He currently runs his own company as a Communication Coach and Mentor.
