Ray Stroud

 Ray Stroud was born in County Durham in 1951. He joined Radio Aire in 1983, first presenting the Evening Show but later moved on to the Lunchtime Show, where he hosted his legendary competitions, such as What Have I Got In My Hand? and Where Are You Margaret? He also presented the Sunday Lunchtime Show with his partner, Margaret.

He moved to Mid-Mornings in 1988 where he remained until the station frequency split, then when Magic 828 launched in 1990 he presented the same show there.

By the mid 90’s, Ray had left Magic 828 to join Stray FM in Harrogate, as presenter and Programme Controller. He later moved to Home 107.9/Pennine FM in Huddersfield.
