Paul Stead was born in Wakefield on 6th July 1965. He often helped out at Radio Aire until he was given the chance to present his own show in late 1985. He presented Overnights and Weekend Afternoons, but often covered for other presenters during the day.
He also produced James Whales phone-in show where he would be regularly heard on air and he was one of the main hosts of the Radio Aire Roadshows. In 1989, he was given the weekday Afternoon Show where he remained until mid 1990.

In the early 1990's, Paul continued on Aire FM presenting Saturday Mornings. He was also head of Promotions for Aire FM and Magic 828 during the week, organising Roadshows and other events.
He later moved to Ridings FM from it’s launch in 1999, however by the early 2000’s, he was back presenting weekend shows on Magic 828.
Paul went on to the television industry, being Executive Producer at Daisybeck Studios, which he founded in 2013. The company are responsible for successful television shows such as The Yorkshire Vet, Springtime On The Farm and Big Week At The Zoo.
