インストールエラー４

Windows上で64ビット版のMatlabを使う場合、GStreamerは必須です。

次のようなエラーが出た場合もGStreamerのインストールが必要です。

PsychStartup: Environment variable GSTREAMER_SDK_ROOT_X86_64 points to non-existent SDK folder?!?

PsychStartup: The missing or inaccessible path to GStreamer is:

PsychStartup: Something is botched. Trying various common locations for the SDK to keep going.

PsychStartup: Path to GStreamer runtime is undefined! This probably means that

PsychStartup: the 64-Bit GStreamer SDK from www.gstreamer.com is not installed.

GStreamerをインストールしたあと、MATLABを再起動して、PTBを再インストールしてください。

以下の情報は古い内容ですが残しておきます。

OctaveにPTBをインストールしようとすると、libglib-2.0.0.dll がない、もしくは、Screen (GStreamer) に関するエラーが出ることがあります。

エラーが出てもとりあえずインストールはできるのですが、Screenコマンドを実行すると次のようなエラーが表示されます。

error: could not find library or dependents: C:\toolbox\Psychtoolbox\PsychBasic\Octave3WindowsFiles\Screen.mex

ここでは、このエラーを取り除く方法をご説明します。なお、以下の説明は、PTB 3.0.9, Octave 3.2.4 によるものです。

インストールの過程で出てくる警告には必ず目を通しましょう。重要な注意点が記載されています。

A very simple test call to the Screen() MEX file failed in AssertOpenGL, indicating

that either Screen is totally dysfunctional, or you are trying to run your script on

a system without Psychtoolbox-3 properly installed - or not installed at all.

Screenコマンドに関するシンプルなテストに失敗しました。（これに失敗するのであればPTBは動きません）

The most likely cause, based on the fact you are running on Octave under Windows

and given this error message: could not find library or dependents: C:/toolbox\Psychtoolbox\PsychBasic\Octave3WindowsFiles\Screen.mex

is that the required GStreamer runtime libraries are not yet installed on your system.

このエラーの原因として考えられるのは、GStreamerのランタイムライブラリがインストールされていないということです。

Please type 'help GStreamer' and read the installation instructions carefully.

After this one-time setup, the Screen command should work properly.

詳しくはGStreamerのヘルプを読んでね、ということなので、Octaveのコマンドウィンドウに

help GStreamer

と入力してエンターキーを押します。

ヘルプの内容は長文なのですが重要なところを抜粋します。

MS-Windows:

 We currently provide GStreamer support on Windows with 32-bit Matlab V7.4

 (R2007a) and later, as well as on Octave. In fact, a fully working GStreamer

 installation is mandatory for Psychtoolbox to work on Octave for Windows,

 otherwise the Screen() function will fail to work at all, regardless if

 you use multi-media functions or not. For Matlab, GStreamer is still

 optional. We don't intend to ever provide GStreamer support for Matlab

 versions older than Version 7.4.

私たち（開発者たち）は、32ビット版Windows上で、Matlab V7.4 (R2007a) 以降で、GStreamerを動かすことをサポートしています。MatlabだけではなくOctaveについても。特にOctaveでPTBを動かすには Gstreamerは必須です。

おすすめは GStreamer-WinBuilds-GPL-x86-Beta04-0.10.7.msi をダウンロードするということなのでダウンロードしてインストールしてください。（おそらくインストールは問題なくできるはずです）

 IMPORTANT: Users of Octave under Windows must not only install GStreamer

 on their system. They must also delete (or rename) the file iconv.dll

 that comes with Octave. This file is incompatible with a iconv.dll of the

 same name provided by GStreamer. On Octave 3.2.4 you'd delete, rename or

 move away the following file:

Windows版のOctaveを使うときには、Octaveに付属しているiconv.dllは使わないで、GStreamerに付属しているほうを使ってください。（注私の環境ではGStreamerにiconv.dllは付属していませんでした。以下の作業が必要なのか不明）

具体的には

C:\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0\bin\iconv.dll

のファイル（ファイルの場所はパソコンによって多少異なるかと思います）

C:\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0\bin\iconv_DISABLED.dll

のようにファイル名を変更します。（これでOctaveに付属してきたiconv.dllを使わないことになります）

以上の作業を終えたら、もういちどOctaveを立ち上げます。（すでに起動している場合はOctaveを再起動させてください）

Screen

と打ち込んでエンターキーを押すと、エラーが消えて、Screenに関する情報が表示されるはずです。
