The world of Auraxis has been butchered since the First Platoon testing group set foot on it. Bases have been added, altered and removed. The hex system was ripped out and replaced with the lattice, which was then further altered with the addition of vehicle capture points. Facilities had their satellite bases removed, teleporters have been added, SCUs have been removed and added, etc.
