Shrine of Leo

The Shrine of Leo is located in the temple colonnade flanking the entry to the Cave of the Mothers. Olivia writes that the zodiac shrines are corresponded to rites found in the FOI liturgy book "Sophia, Cosmic Consciousness of the Goddess." The ritual "Mystical Awakening of Leo and Sekhmet" from "Sophia" is associated with this shrine.

The central figure on the altar is of yew wood. It was carved by David Durdin-Robertson,

who was the son of two of the FOI Co-Founders, Lawrence and Pamela Durdin-Robertson.
