Entry from Castle Interior

The doors leading from the castle interior

downstairs to the entrance of the Temple of Isis.

The doors have been painted by Olivia Robertson.

Olivia points to the doors explaining the paintings are of Osiris (left)

and Isis (right).

As she opens them, the paintings she has created on the other side

of the doors become visible. Jupiter is on the left, Venus on the right.

The same set of doors before they were painted.

Opened, a short flight of stairs leads to the Shrine of Muth, Horus and Hathor

situated on a landing. Another flight of stairs leads down from the landing on the left.

These stairs access a landing in the castle interior, which has a short flight of stairs (left)

which leads to the temple interior.

This is a photo of the same set of doors that Olivia painted with images of Isis and Osiris

painted on the panels. From the landing pictured above, when

the doors are closed, one can see the images of Jupiter

and Venus Olivia painted on the panels on the other side.

The corridor in the castle that leads to the temple doors, allowing access of

the temple from the castle interior. Note the Winged Solar Disc

visible through the doorway, featured on a wall in the landing,

at the top of the stairs. It was carved by David Durdin-Robertson, son of

FOI Co-Founders Lawrence and Pamela Durdin-Robertson.

Passing down this flight of stair and along this corridor, Olivia and Lawrence would lead

processions through a set of doors just beyond passage to the left in the photo, which leads to another set of doors.

that opens to the last flight of stairs to the temple

Olivia opens the set of doors, which are ornately carved,

and walks down another flight of stairs.

Having descended a flight of stairs after passing through

the ornately carved doors, Olivia opens a final set of doors

to reveal the last few steps to climb down to enter the temple.

Olivia enters the temple leading a procession. The entry to the Chapel of the Well would be in front of her

and the Shrine of Virgo immediately to her left as she turns

to enter the temple colonnade.

Lawrence, upon entering the temple, turns into the Temple Colonnade

next to the Shrine of Virgo
