Geometry details:
Angles
The frame has a 67.5 degree head tube angle with 76mm of fork rake/offset for a short trail measurement so the handling is quick even with such a slack head angle. This is twice as much fork rake as many 29ers had. The 71 degree seat tube angle can be used with a straight seatpost and will give a similar seating position as the 72 degree seat tube angle with a set back post on a Jones 29. Riders who use a standard Brooks saddle, very tall riders, or those who want to sit further back may want to use a set-back seat post. The chainstays are 19″.
There are two sizes: Medium and Large. The Medium size (with a straight post) has a very similar fit as the Medium Jones Plus SWB / Jones 29 frame with a set back post (the seat-tube is two inches shorter than the 25″ size). It is just a little longer in reach to the bars and the bars are little higher. The 25″ size with a very short reach stem can be set up so the cockpit position is the same as the 24″ size but you get a massive frame for carrying more stuff and a longer wheel base for a smoother ride, for adventures. And it will fit tall rider with a set back post and longer stem (custom extra long steerer tubes are available to raise bars even more). Both sizes with stem, seatpost (set-back or straight) and EBB adjustments can be fine-tuned and adapted for different styles of riding and rider. A short wheel base is not the only way. Long has many benefits.
EBB versatility
The eccentric bottom bracket (EBB) ensures the Bottom Bracket BB height is adjustable. When using the smaller 29″ wheels (tires) you put the BB at the top of the EBB to keep the BB height the same as when you have taller 29+ wheels and the BB at the bottom of the EBB. You can also run the BB at the bottom for a extra low BB with 29″ wheels, or run the BB at the top with 29+ wheel for a higher BB. BB drop: BB in top position – 76mm, BB in bottom position – 88mm. More information in this blog post.

EBB
Your bike includes a Bushnell eccentric bottom bracket (EBB), which allows you to adjust chain tension when using the frame to build a singlespeed or internal gear hub equipped bicycle. It also allows you to adjust the bottom bracket height if you use smaller wheels (such as 27.5).
Drive train notes for Jones Plus
Your Jones Plus frame is designed around the Boost standard, and must be used with a Boost crankset. Boost cranks position the chainrings 3mm farther outboard than standard cranks, and are key to getting proper tire clearance with 29x3” tires. As long as you use Boost cranks in a double (2x) or single (1x) chainring configuration, you can use any style of drivetrain and combination of gears on the bike. In addition to the Boost crankset, you will need a 148x12mm (Boost spacing) thru-axle rear hub. This combination allows us to use cranks with a low Q-Factor (also known as tread), while being able to use tires up to 29x3.25”.

Wheelbase? Short (Plus SWB) or Long (Plus LWB)?
The SWB and LWB have the same fit. Both handle superbly on and off-road. The difference between them is the distance between the axles (the wheelbase) and the tires you can use with them. The LWB can fit tall 29x2.3-3.25” tires which (with its longer wheelbase) make it smoother and more stable on rough terrain than the SWB. It’s great for loaded rides. The SWB is a little more agile – it can fit 29x2.3-2.6” or 27.5x2.8-3.25” tires. The SWB requires less effort to lift the front (or back) end – useful on very technical trails. The LWB is reassuringly planted on steep climbs and descents.
What type of frame? Spaceframe or Diamond?
The geometry and fit (except for stand over height) is identical. The Spaceframe offers more vertical compliance and huge standover clearance but has less framepack carrying space. The Diamond frame costs and weighs less. It doesn’t have the standover or vertical compliance of the Spaceframe but with the bigger triangle you can use a larger frame pack.
Most frames come with the Jones Truss fork – it is light and stiff. It delivers precise, accurate steering and does not flex or shudder when braking. It is available in titanium and steel. The steel Unicrown fork is heavier but easier to install, remove (and pack for a flight) and works with low-rider front racks and panniers and has bottle bosses. They all deliver the comfort and handling of a Jones.
