Jones Plus LWB Spaceframe with steel truss fork (size small)
Designed by Jeff Jones of Ashland, Oregon, the Jones Plus LWB is the ultimate "do anything bike." It is great for backroad riding, where the conditions may include very rough surfaces. It is perfect for all-day exploring and bikepacking. It is capable on mountain bike trails, and is faster on pavement than most mountain bikes. With it's long wheelbase, plus sized tires (29" X 2.8"), and upright riding position, it is very comfortable. The spaceframe has a very low standover height, and the truss fork provides confident handling. Suspension is provided by large tires run at low pressures (e.g., around 12-15 PSI).

EBB For geometry adjustment and single speed chain tension. Black and Grey frames use an expanding EBB. Red frames have a pinch bolt bottom bracket shell and use the Jones EBB
68mm bottom bracket width
Steel Spaceframe and Truss fork-excellent standover clearance
Heat treated 4130 cromo (steel)
Jones TA bolts front and rear Simple, reliable, light, and low-profile (front weighs 50 grams; rear weighs 41 grams)
Excellent clearance for 29+ tires (10mm+ clearance either side with a 29+ tire – with 29er tire you can get a palm in between the tire and stays)
Ample chainring/stay clearance
148mm TA rear end-increased chain/tire clearance allows you to use all 11 speed drivetrains with the widest 29x3" tires.
TIG welded – brazed on cable guides, bottle, rack and fender bosses.
Rear rack and fender mounts for the best rack/fender/tire size fit (extra bosses allow you to have the rack at a height to suit the tires/wheels) so very versatile and accommodating of different equipment and different set-ups. Red frames have rack mounts on the upper seat stays while the Black and Grey frames do not.
2 bottle mounting locations: Black and Grey frames have 1 standard bottle mount on top of the downtube, and 1 triple boss mount underneath the downtube. Red frames have a triple boss mount on the bottom and top of the downtube.
Jones Truss fork – comfortable, precise handling, no brake stutter
150mm thru-axle front hub spacing – for more front wheel stiffness and strength and compatibility with the latest generator hubs
Fork accommodates 29, 29+, 27.5 x 3.8" and 26 x 4.8” tires
Size small Spaceframe with Truss Fork, EBB, thru axles, water bottle bolts, clips, derailleur hanger weight: 4555 g (10 lbs)
If you would like to use a rear rack on the Black or Grey frame, the Problem Solvers Seatpost clamp with rack mounts is a great solution.
Geometry details:
The frame has a 67.5 degree head tube angle with 76mm of fork rake/offset for a short trail measurement so the handling is quick even with such a slack head angle. This is twice as much fork rake as many 29ers had. The 71 degree seat tube angle can be used with a straight seatpost and will give a similar seating position as the 72 degree seat tube angle with a set back post on a Jones 29. Tall riders or riders that want to sit further back may want to use a set-back seat post. The chainstays are 19″.
This new 23" Plus size works out having an even shorter effective top-tube than the Jones 29 (which has a 23" top tube as well) because of the Plus's slacker seatube angle. For reference: if it had the same seatube angle as a Jones 29, it would actually work out as having closer to a 22" top tube, which is just to say that it's shorter and smaller, even though the top tube length is stated as the same length. This short reach, combined with the low standover of the Spaceframe design, brings the inspired ride of the Jones Plus to smaller riders who wouldn't have enough standover on the Diamond frame design. A short wheel base is not the only way. Long has many benefits.
EBB versatility
The eccentric bottom bracket (EBB) ensures the Bottom Bracket BB height is adjustable. When using the smaller 29″ wheels (tires) you put the BB at the top of the EBB to keep the BB height the same as when you have taller 29+ wheels and the BB at the bottom of the EBB. You can also run the BB at the bottom for a extra low BB with 29″ wheels, or run the BB at the top with 29+ wheel for a higher BB. BB drop: BB in top position – 76mm, BB in bottom position – 88mm. More information in this blog post.
This is a frame, fork, EBB (bottom bracket), front and rear TA bolts, water bottle bolts, clips, and standard derailleur hanger. If you would like a single speed hanger, get one here! The Black and Grey frames have an expanding EBB. The Red frames have the pinch-bolt type bottom bracket shell and use the Jones Eccentric Bottom Bracket. The Red frame also has rack mounts bosses on the seat stays.
It has the same 148x12mm thru-axle (boost) rear end, 150x15mm thru-axle hubs--which allow you to use generator hubs designed for fat bikes--and three water bottle bosses on the downtube to allow you to mount three-hole bottle cages. This is also the first Jones frameset to come with our newly-designed thru-axles! Jeff wanted to pare-down the thru-axles he used to the minimum by simplifying them as much as possible to make a system that is as reliable, light, and durable as possible. The result is the Jones TA Bolt. It works just like a standard quick release thru-axle, but instead of just threading it in until it's tight enough to clamp the quick release, you just tighten this one until it's tight, using a 5mm allen wrench.

Tubus
Made for traveling: The top rail is designed extremely narrow, still offering enough space to fit a tent, mattress and sleeping bag. Your panniers are mounted one level down. This lowers the center of gravity and improves the riding stability of your bike. In combination with TARA our LOGO models make the ultimate dream team for long-distance traveling. The LOGO also fits on particularly short frames.

Tubus Logo Evo (3D feet)
Frequent travelers must keep up with the times: Like all Evo variants, LOGO Evo features 3D feet and variable mounting positions for the flexible mounting of the stays. A spring clamp can be easily clicked on, and special eyelets allow safe fixing of a 3 part fixture strap. The lower rail for mounting panniers features hook stoppers preventing even large panniers from moving; also it lowers the center of gravity thus improving the riding stability of your bike. Bon voyage!

They both are disk brake compatible. In addition to what you already noted, I'll add:
Classic has open "horns" at the front end of the top surface, whereas the Evo has a closed loop. In both cases the horns / loop are angled up slightly. You may prefer the aesthetics of one or the other. Functionally, I like the horns of the classic because they leave the central part open: if you want to lay something long and narrow length-wise on top of the rack, on the Classic you can move it up until it (say a tent) nudges against your seatpost if you want, and it will be flat on the rack surface. With the Evo that will only work if the item is very skinny and can fit under the loop.
Classic has slightly wider dropouts than Evo, so depending on your bike frame, one or the other might be a better fit. I think the PDFs at Tubus have that dimension indicated, but if you don't find it, let me know I have it somewhere.
They both have a little strip at top back with holes for mounting a reflector or a rear light, say. The Classic has 4 holes, the Evo has 5 (incl. a central one).
I think you're right that the Classic is slightly (maybe half a centimeter) wider on top.
The Classic has an extra hole at the bottom mounting point, that can be used for e.g. attaching a fender strut (if you don't have a hole for that on your bike frame). I think Tubus also sells "extenders" that let you offset the rack slightly back and up, which can be useful for bikes with short chainstays, for example. I *think* that extender doesn't work with the Evo, not sure.
The Evo's 3D "feet" seem to me to require a bit more clearance around the frame mounting point, i.e. a slightly larger flat frame surface around the hole is needed. Maybe someone else can fact-check me on that, I'm not sure. I'd say the 3D feet are more rigid, so if you need to do any tweaking/twisting to optimize the mounting, probably the Classic is more adaptable.
They're both very similar and very nice. If I were you, unless one of the small feature differences make the choice clear, I'd go with the one that more closely matches the width of your dropouts (mounting holes).
