New studies with mice shows that extracts from rosemary and spearmint contain antioxidants that improve learning and memory. Susan Farr from Saint Louis School of Medicine at the Neuroscience 2013 meeting. This may help people with age related cognitive decline.Rosemary has other health benefits such as aiding indigestion, reducing cancer causing agents that arise during cooking, and anti-fungal properties.Farr warns that although the mouse studies are promising, she can not say that the memory benefits will be the same with humans using the herbs.
