A recent study has found similarities in the brain damage caused by sport head collisions and Lou Gehrigs disease (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ALS). Both conditions involve loss of muscle control. Neuroscientists have found similar concentrations of the "Tau" protein in the brain. Tau has also been associated with Alzheimers disease.
