Kits
The kits include all necessary materials--from plant material to giant neuron models to glassware--to use during the curriculum pilot in your classroom. The kits are packed into four large bins with additional items requested (e.g. gloves or hotplates) packed separately. Please contact Marcia (marciajw@uw.edu) and Kristi (kmstraus@uw.edu) to schedule a time to pick up your kits. For those of you coming from far away, we are happy to meet you halfway to facilitate the kit pickup.
Pre/Post Test
Pilot test teachers who have participated in the summer institute must administer a pre and post test.
It is vital that you administer the pre-test before you start any lessons and the post-test after you conclude all of the lessons that you plan to teach. Directions for administering and returning the tests, as well as the test itself are below. After you deliver each lesson, please complete our online survey. Your feedback will help us to improve each lesson based on your experience piloting this curriculum.
