Neuroscience news: Daffodils for Depression
Researchers at the University of Copenhagen have discovered that compounds in South African daffodils and snowdrops have an ability to pass the blood brain barrier. They tested the compounds on a laboratory model of the barrier. These compounds could be used in the future to help transport medications such as antidepressants across the blood brain barrier. 6/22/12
