Mullein

Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) is a common wild plant plant in dry areas worldwide. Its large hairy leaves have been given the nick name "Old mans Blanket" or "Wooly Mullein". It was widely used as a medicinal by the pioneers to treat skin diseases and mycobacterial disease in animals. Now it is emerging as a promising treatment for Tuberculosis. TB is becoming resistant to conventional antibiotics and is increasingly hard to fight.
