"If the path be beautiful, let us not ask where it leads."
― Anatole France
Paths in My Free Zoo are where both visitors and employees walk.
Visitors spawn randomly anywhere on a path. As far as visitors are concerned, paths do not need to be connected and do not need to be within a certain range of animal enclosures, shops, decorations, restrooms, or anything else. In fact, paths are not necessary at all to have visitors---your zoo will still register visitors and shops will still generate income; you simply won't see the visitors walking around. Many players who have limited space for enclosures and shops do not put paths in their zoos, though paths can be quite attractive if space is not an issue.
Paths are mandatory for employees to function. Employees are dispatched from the Administrative Building when a player logs in, and they can travel only on pathways. Enclosures and other zoo objects must be within a certain range of the path in order for the employee to reach it:
Paths are found by opening the Shop menu and clicking on the Paths tab. Unlike most objects in My Free Zoo, paths do not have popularity values or influence the number or mood of visitors. Once placed, a path cannot be moved ― only destroyed using the Remove Path tool, purchased in the same location as paths. Removed paths are lost forever. Excess paths in inventory can be sold for a fraction of the price they were purchased for.
There are no trading cards for paths, but they are occasionally received in boosters.
Paths are always sold in lots of 10, as is the Remove Path tool.
