Now that the EPA administrator has ruled on funding or not funding your policy agenda item, the fight is not over. You need to take your fight to the next level.
Depending on if you got funded or not, you have a different actions for your next steps.
If Pruitt turned down your funding/program support you are now on the “A” Team.
A team will keep fighting for their agenda item by going to the other branches, going public and getting more support. In your next steps you will create MEMOS for the 3 branches detailing your action plans to gain funding, attention and support. Be sure that you include a Media Strategy.
If you got support for your program you are now the “B” Team and become an “Adversary” attempting to block the A teams that are still trying to fight for their funding. You will follow essentially the same steps as the “A” Team, but your identity will most likely shift to represent a special interest group (such as a corporation, a lobby group, a “think tank” etc.). Your focus should be on planning and preparing to block your opposing “A” team’s efforts.
Pair up A Team and B Team Opponents.
Brainstorm Lobbyists, Corporations, and Interest Groups.
