PHOTOS: BATIK PROJECT IS A BEAUTIFUL SUCCESS!

The Fibers and Dyes class is wrapping up its first ever year with a fun batik project! We learned about the culture of Indonesia, the land where batik is created. Students created original artwork with an "end of the school year" or "warm weather" theme - and had a blast painting in the "resist" method of batik! High-quality materials such as 100% cotton muslin and Procion MX Fiber Reactive dye in a rainbow of vibrant colors helped boost these students' creativity.
