ART DEPARTMENT VISITS FISK UNIVERSITY!

On February 24th, Mrs. Ottinger's Painting classes and some of Mrs. Jordan's students went to Fisk University. Students viewed original artwork by Aaron Douglas, Picasso, Georgia O'Keefe, Renoir, and many Fisk professors. Additionally, students toured the beautiful Fisk campus, learning about the Underground Railroad tunnels and hiding places on campus, the many prominent African Americans who were associated with Fisk, and even got to handle chains and manacles used for slavery!

Some CRHS students even took advantage of the tour opportunity to apply for admission to this wonderful HBCU!
