ART SURVEY: BEARDEN COLLAGE

ASSIGNMENT: Create a collage using the style of Romare Bearden.

YOU WILL NEED: Paper, magazines/newspaper, glue, scissors (optional)

1. Choose one of the following topics:

IF YOU REALLY KNEW ME

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE ME

MY PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE

A TURNING POINT IN MY LIFE

2. Write a ONE-PAGE SUMMARY of the topic you have chosen.

3. Using SMALL pieces of magazines, newspaper, or painted papers, create a picture of what this topic means to YOU!

4. REMEMBER: NO MISAPPROPRIATION of photos, logos, graphics etc!
