Completed Collagraph Prints

Students in Printmaking class have begun pulling their collagraph travel posters and they look GREAT!

Inspired by vintage travel posters, students brainstormed where they might want to vacation or live. They then sketched our their posters and transferred their final sketches to cardstock. The printing plates were created using recycled cardstock and Elmer's glue. The plates are then coated with a layer of Mod Podge to extend their life.

Once the printing plates were created, several prints may be pulled and students had a lot of fun experimenting with different colors.

Jonathan G. sketches out his idea and begins to create his plate.
