Quentin Feltgen

Position

I am currently a postdoc under the supervision of Jean Daunizeau, funded by the Bio-Psy labex.

Current work

My current research project is devoted to the modeling of effort allocation, in the spirit of the Expected Value of Control model. Rather than a purely theoretical work, this project involves data analysis from experiments conducted by other groups at the ICM, including behavioral experiments with mice.

Background

I got my PhD in Statistical Physics under the supervision of Jean-Pierre Nadal at the Laboratoire de Physique Statistique in Ecole Normale Supérieure. My work was devoted on the modeling of Language Evolution, investigating how the organization and use of language memories by speakers can lead to language changes at much longer time scales, exploiting large corpus datasets to track these changes across time.

I also approached questions of learning in changing environments from a theoretical point of view in a long-term internship with Ilya Nemenman at Emory University, Atlanta GA.
