Kinder-Phonics

Have you ever wondered how you learned to read? Have you ever had to remind yourself that at one point you didn't know which letter made which sound? That is the premise of the project "Kinder-Phonics," a kindergarten phonics program for parents! In this program, parents will be able to participate in a survey to let me (Miss Springer) know what they do and do not know about the kindergarten reading curriculum.

How does it work?

A survey will be sent home to parents where they can rate their knowledge of how their child is learning to read.

How will we learn?

Once surveys are returned, Miss Springer will create activities for parents to use with their children that will re-familiarize them with the kindergarten curriculum!Three activities will be sent home over the course of three weeks with a time log to track usage.

Armed with three new strategies, parents will be able to help their students succeed in reading!
