Animoto

Animoto is a great new tool I've just learned about that helps to make fun, informational videos with ease! You get to use your own pictures to make great videos with unique backgrounds, music and all you have to do is upload your pictures, choose your background and music, and add your text. Animoto takes care of the rest! I think what took me the longest in making my videos was choosing the songs I wanted to use. They have such a large collection of songs it was hard to sort through them all. They also have a ton of fun themes that you can choose from. The possibilities when using this tool are endless. This can easily be used in the classroom as a hook to get students interested in what they're about to learn or as a review tool before a test! Starting around the age of fourth grade you can even have students make their own videos! It would be a great way for them to showcase what they've learned.

I'm really looking forward to using this in my classroom. It would be such a great hook to use to introduce a new concept or to wrap up a review. I would love to gather the interest of my students when learning about something like animals by showing them great pictures in a fun video format! When adding text, it would be so easy to add questions for a review session before a test. Animoto is a great tool for the classroom, and I'm very excited to use it with my students one day.
